Mr. Gomez

Through interdisciplinary, thematic approaches, project-based learning and internships, students are taught to strengthen their skills and excel academically. TPA graduates will become strong educational professionals and productive citizens. Utilizing the vast resources within the community, TPA students learn by teaching others. They are tutors, mentors and assistants to children in all grade levels in schools within the Jefferson community. Students are able to work closely with local universities to explore the many careers available through the field of education and beyond. There is also an opportunity for the students to become teacher assistants within LAUSD while they complete college course work for a teaching credential. Successful candidates will receive an offer of employment from the Los Angeles Unified School District upon completion of all mandated requirements.
